5 Gift Ideas for Mother’s Day:

Mother’s Day is just around the corner! Shopping for your mother can be tough, so I thought I’d share five of my go-to gift ideas – they haven’t failed me yet!

1. Spa Gift Card: Who doesn’t like going to the spa?! I am sure that every mother deserves to be pampered. A few of my favourite choices have been Swedish massages or “mani-pedis” – they have been a hit every time!

2. A Night Out: My mom loves going out with my siblings and me! Get yours tickets to a show, her favourite band or a festival – I’m sure it will be a night she’ll never forget! One year, my sister and I bought Megan Trainor tickets for our mom and she had a blast dancing it up all night. We’ve also done tickets to Dancing with the Stars and other fun musicals.

3. Jewelry: Most women love jewelry – myself included! Contrary to popular belief, there are a variety of price points to stay within. Pandora is a perfect example: they have some beautiful rings starting at $40 and you can even score a bracelet and charm for under $100. If you have a bigger budget, you can look into Links of London and Tiffany & Co.

4. Photo Book: This is definitely something super personal, but I’m sure it will be a fan favourite. Create a photo book of a big event or trip – it could be a wedding, vacation or even some of your favorite memories at home. Costco has some great photo book options, but you can also get one printed through websites like Shutterfly, Vistaprint and Shoppers Photo.

5. Chocolate: When in doubt, a nice box of expensive chocolates from Godiva, Soma or Purdy’s can always win a mom’s heart. It’s probably something they don’t usually splurge on, so why not treat her!

Bonus ideas: special interest classes (cooking, art, yoga, etc.) or a gift card to her favorite mall/store.

Final tip – as the year goes on, pay attention to the things your mom takes interest in. I always keep a list going on my phone to help me out on birthdays, holidays and especially Mother’s Day!
