Spring is a very exciting time as it lets you shed your heavy layers letting you focus on your style. It can be difficult to get that cute spring look because the weather is still very unpredictable.. we did just have a snow fall in Toronto yesterday! But below you can  find some of my favorite tips for transitioning your wardrobe from winter to spring smoothly!

Mixing heavy and  light textures

This is definitely one of my favorite ways to transition a wardrobe. It mixes your summer and winter wardrobes to create a ton of fun spring looks.  Take a light weight material - think linen, chiffon, satins and pair it with heavier wool, knit and even cotton. Such a cute way to add some

dimension to your look.

Bring out the whites!

I did a post a while back on winter whites and I am someone who doesn’t put away my whites for the winter but if you do,  now is the time to pull them out! A nice crisp white look could not be more spring!

Add a pop of colour or a dash of print

Dark and monochromatic outfits seem to be winters best friend.. but it’s spring now which calls for a change! No need to get too carried away but adding a pop of colour or hint of print is a great way to spice up an outfit.

Bring out the light wash

During the winter I always seem to grab my black and darker wash denim so pulling out the light wash is a great and easy way to start feeling more spring. It’s as easy as that!

Thigh high boots

Thigh high boots are a great way to pull out all those dresses and skirts you’ve been too scared to pull out through the brittle cold winter! They provide a layer of warmth while rocking lighter weight outfits.
